Our testers execute jobs on virtual machines provisioned by Rainforest, rather than their own devices. We also have additional security measures in place to only allocate jobs to testers who meet the requirements.
All Rainforest testers are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with Rainforest in order to test with us. As testers learn about many customers' products through testing, our NDA signed by our testers ensures that what testers learn about customer products is not shared.
In addition to the NDA that testers sign with Rainforest, you may also request to have testers sign your custom NDA before they're allowed to test your app. All jobs for your account will only be done by testers to have signed your custom NDA. We use industry-standard HelloSign to collect signatures from testers before any work is distributed to them.
If you would like to have testers sign a custom NDA, please reach out to your CSM for more information.
If a tester wants to receive jobs from users that require HIPAA compliance, the tester must provide malware scans from the systems they use to access our platform. They upload their malware scans on their portal profile. This is not a requirement for all of our testers, only testers who wish to receive HIPAA compliant jobs.
We provide the support needed for testers to secure their accounts using two-factor authentication, which can also be set up as a requirement. This helps us ensure that verified tester accounts remain secure.
When testers set up a payment method with Rainforest QA, they are required to submit a W-9 or W-8BEN (depending on location) and legally-binding “Tester Agreement”. Please note that there is a very small portion of our crowd, who still get paid via MTurk instead of directly through Rainforest. These testers are not required to submit tax forms or the “Tester Agreement” unless they make the switch to one of our direct payment methods.
