Access preloaded images on iOS and Android VMs
Recognizing the lack of camera functionality in Rainforest Mobile VMs (as there is no camera), we have added a number stock images (5 for iOS and 10 for Android) to photo albums for both Android and iOS VMs. Accessing these photos in app is just a matter of guiding testers to the images' location.
To access the iOS Photo gallery in iOS VMs, it is necessary to guide testers to the iOS VM Home screen and then click into the "Photos" App. Below are sample steps on how to guide the tester to the Photo app by exiting your app:
Action A: In the navigation bar at the top of the terminal, click "Hardware" and from the dropdown menu select "Home"
Question A: Were you brought to the iOS VM's home screen?
Action B: Locate the "Photos" app on the home screen and click into it.
Question B: Do you now see a screen with several photos?
To access the Android Photo gallery in iOS VMs, it is necessary to guide testers to the Android VM Home screen and then click into the "Gallery" App. Below are sample steps on how to guide the tester to the Gallery app:
Action A: At the bottom of the terminal, click the circle icon between the left-pointing triangle and the square icon.
Question A: Were you brought to the Android home screen?
Action B: In the home screen, click on the circle icon with 6 dots in the middle and then click on the "Gallery" app on the following screen.
Question B: Were you brought a screen with a photo folder that has "Pictures" noted in a small banner at the bottom of the picture?
Action C: Tap on the picture folder
Question C: Were you brought to a gallery of different photos?
If you would like to guide testers to the photo galleries on either iOS or Android VMs, the sample steps above could be modified to instruct testers how to access the photo galleries in app.
